The Artist: Cheryle Penrose
I have been working with polymer clay and making jewellery for 15 years. About 5 years ago I discovered that I could combine these two elements which started a whole new series of events!
Workshops are a major focus. I so enjoy the wonder of people creating something which they thought was beyond their ability. After every workshop I am as enriched as the students by the artistic process.
Many wonderful friendships have developed from our lively and fun filled classes. I am currently in the process of putting my tutorials onto CD with one tutorial already published in Creative Beading magazine.
My studio is located at home in Mapleton, nestled in the mountains of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in Queensland. Many of my workshops are run from Sunshine Coast Beads and Crystals in Nambour. We have also established a Polymer Clay Group which meets monthly called "Clay Play". New members are always welcome.

Each piece of jewellery is handcrafted and unique, as is my gift range. The styles are many and varied. I follow intuition rather than fashion trends!
Most of my work has polymer clay somewhere. I also add beads, sticks, fibres, wire and anything else that comes to mind.
Photographs that are dear to clients can also be used in the design of jewellery pieces and gifts.
Good quality materials are used. Making jewellery comfortable to wear is a big factor. Ensuring that clients enjoy wearing them is important.
I custom design jewellery to suit a personality and outfit or even a wedding party!
Gift Range
I've been working on an interesting range of gifts including 'Australiana' themed boxes and bookmarks, clocks and other little items that take my fancy. Come and have a look at them!
